You inspire me! This page is dedicated to all those wonderful people who have inspired me. I hope in some way they inspire you as they did me. I have included people who I have meet from around the world who have made me think, grow and change for the better. There are family, friends, associates, strangers, people who have passed away, famous people and people from all walks of life. My purpose is to touch your heart in some way to inspire you to be and do the very best you can.

Inspiration from my grandma

I am very grateful for her!

When I was eight years old, my twin brother and I were in grade three at the time, and I remember, suddenly we were living with our grandparents. See, they lived across town from where we lived. We would walk to school everyday and one day we started getting driven to school and living at our grandparents house. It was never explained to us what was happening, it just happened. Here we were living with our grandparents. My grandma was instrumental in having us live with her. After raising five of her own children, she was ready to take on two more children. She was 65 when we moved in. Instead of enjoying retirement, she decided to raise two more children. The love that she showed me was enormous. Even though she lived only on a government pension, she would always have some spare money to give to us. She had curly white hair, blue eyes, a healed broken nose, a smile all the time and a heart as big as Canada. I remember she would give us each some change to go to the corner store to buy some pop and chips for us to enjoy.

May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of reckoning peace for yourself. May a kind word, a reassuring touch, a warm smile, be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts to others as well as receive them for yourself. Remember to search for sunshine when fierce storm seems relentless... to teach love to those who recognize only hate, and let that love embrace you as you make vows to humanity. May the wisdom of those you admire become part of who you are, so that you may call upon them in great times of need... Remember those lives you have touched and who have touched yours are always a part of you, even if the encounters were less than you would have considered desirable. May you not become too concerned with material matters, but instead place immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart. Make time in your days to see the beauty and love in the world around you…even if it’s for the first time in your life. Realize that each person has limitless abilities, but each of us is unique in our own way. What you may feel you require in one regard maybe you more than compensated for in another. What you feel you lack in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May you envision your future as one filled with the promise of possibility… learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience. And may you always….in all ways…feel love in the light of your own spirit~

This very moment is all that we have ~ so choose your thoughts wisely. It is too precious, to waste on the negative moments of yesterday. Don't spend your precious time asking, "Why isn't the world a better place?" It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is, "How can I make it better?" To that there is an answer." Great people can see the goodness in everyone. Distance yourself very far from people, especially the ones you look up to, who consistently leave you feeling like you are a bad person. Self-improvement starts with self-respect.
