Release guilt and you will enjoy your life the way you were meant to enjoy it. Everybody makes mistakes in their life, nobody is perfect. Accept what you have done without guilt. It was a learning experience for you. You grow as a person by making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. Guilt makes you feel bad about who you are. Celebrate who you are! You are a wonderful person! Use guilt to change your life if you truly believe you need to change. Where does guilt come from...I believe it comes from the values that were passed down from your parents or your caregivers. It could come from society...telling us what is right and wrong, you can't do this or that. Those values are hardwired within you and if you do something that goes against those values you begin to feel guilty. In truth there is absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. Release your guilt and you will be free! Free to live your life the way you choose.
Release guilt through forgiveness Freedom is not worth having if it does not connote freedom to err. Mahatma Gandhi
Write down every guilty feeling you now have. Go ahead grab a pen and some paper and start writing. What do you feel guilty about? Get it all out of your system. Have you done it yet? Please stop reading and do this now, you can always come back later. After you have finished writing all your guilty feelings down, spend some time and go through each one and forgive yourself if you feel you have done something wrong. Now crumple the piece of paper up and throw it out and never think about those guilty feelings again. There is no need to feel guilty anymore. Whatever you have done in the past is now history and cannot be changed. Forget it forever! Release guilt and be free!
Do you have people in your life that will use guilt to make you do things that you don't want to do. This is a tough one to deal with because in all likely hood that person is the one you love very much. I have had to deal with this one and it was no fun. People had me feeling guilty about something I enjoyed doing. They would say things like you're not being responsible, you're selfish, and a number of other comments to make me feel bad about what I was doing. Finally I said this is the way I am and I am very happy with who I am. It is an expression of who I am, I accept that, and I am grateful for who I am. Do you have somebody in your life that makes you feel guilty? This is a form of manipulation. It is totally unacceptable in my books. Nobody deserves to be treated this way. I choose to accept people as they are and love them unconditionally. We all deserve this treatment. If you have somebody that is using guilt to make you do something, don't take it any longer, you deserve better. Release guilt and you will feel better about yourself.
